Episode 59: Beach Whiskey Potpourri

Whiskey selection: Kaigan Japanese Whiskey, Browne Family Spirits Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Yellow Spot 12 Year Irish Whiskey, and Barrowman’s Grand Cru 21 Year Blended Scotch Whisky.
Wherein Jon and Judy invite several friends, absent Marlys, to join us in tasting four whiskies (and a fifth for extra credit) with an abundance of chaos, some expletives, glass clinking, and pretzels, occasionally returning to the subject at hand but always having a good time at the beach in Washington State. It may help if you know a bit about libraries, and it will definitely help if you are drinking while you listen 😉
It’s a long one, so buckle up! We hope that you will enjoy it. We certainly had fun recording it.

  1. It was a nice treat to find 2 new episodes when I checked yesterday! Loved the favorite bourbon episode. I had to go back and retry my Balcones baby blue. I see why you like it. I like really their cask strength rye and Rumble. They both have flavor funk each in good ways.

I’m still listening to the beach potpourri. It had so many layers of conversation that you catch it all in one listen. Next time I listen to it, I’ll have to focus on the side conversations for bonus content. I don’t know how Jon handled the chaos without worrying about the podcast quality.
It’s busy but fun to hear. Thanks for the call out, Judy. I’m still excited to have new episodes.

    1. Thanks Lynn! Good to hear from you again. I’m glad you’re still with us, and despite the chaos of Episode 59, I’m glad you got something out of it. There were a lot of people involved and there were a lot of times when we veered off course, but I decided there was enough of a thread that at least some people would enjoy it. We weren’t sure initially if we should post it, and I didn’t edit much out because it would have been really hard to cut much out without also losing some of the more valuable content, so I decided to let it ride pretty much as it was recorded. Thanks for the positive comments!
